Connect WordPress

Publishing. Once this is connected, approving an article sends it to your site.

easy Easy — anyone can do this

What this key lets us do. It lets us create and update posts as your user. You can cancel it from the same screen at any moment, which stops us immediately and changes nothing else about your account.

Step by step

  1. Sign in to your own WordPress site as an administrator.
  2. In the left menu open Users, then click your own name to open your profile.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of that page. Look for the box titled Application Passwords.
  4. Type a name so you can recognise it later — “OrchardRank” is fine — and press Add New Application Password.
  5. WordPress shows a password made of 24 letters in six groups, like abcd EFGH ijkl MNOP qrst UVWX. Copy it now — WordPress will never show it again.
  6. Come back here and paste it, along with your site address and your WordPress username.

Bold words are the exact buttons and menu names to look for. These are screens of other companies and they move them — if the layout does not match, searching that bold name in their own help usually finds where it went.

What to paste here

FieldWhat it looks like
Site addresshttps://yoursite.com — the address you type to visit it
UsernameYour WordPress login name, not your email
Application passwordThe 24 characters WordPress just showed you

What usually goes wrong

Whatever you paste is encrypted the moment it arrives. It is never shown back to you and nobody here can read it — support sees a fingerprint like “ending 7f3a2c”, never the value.
